Zlob diode chaos - selection from an hour long recording, 54min and 45sec in. The chaotic lfo has 4 outputs x, y, z and trig (trig-ich. . . ). Center sound: x to pitch cv in on vco, y to filter cut of. To the right: z to a wave folder (osc static pitch). To the left: trig to cv in on a self oscillating filter. There are peaks (hz) beyond my hearing. I hope you can manage. . .

Patch on my doepfer a-100 modular synthesizer. Recorded in early 2015 using my google nexus 5 with a class-compliant audio-interface and the soundcloud app. I called it "babysteps" at the time. Feedback loop involving jupiter storm, a-147-2vcdlfo and a-101-1 vactrol vcfcv injected from 2 x sloth and intellijel quadra expander in quadra moodsome spring reverb. After ~1min i switch "noise core disruptor" (jupiter storm) off. Evaluation of patch/soundone cycle is about 28 sec - goodonly short sounds - badamplitude variation - goodpitch variation - goodtimbre variation - goodmusical value - low to mediumentertaining - high, or what?. A sound for small object. Maybe in space. . . ?the sound is made with a modular synth. No post editing. Just fade in and out.

I have built a nonlinearcircuits sloth lfo, the regular version. Sloth is a chaotic lfo. The output is based on the lorenz system. It is a system of ordinary differential equations. It is notable for having chaotic solutions for certain parameter values and initial conditions. In particular, the lorenz attractor is a set of chaotic solutions of the lorenz system which, when plotted, resemble a butterfly or figure eight (very much from wikipedia). The sloth has two outputs x and y. Think of them as coordinate pairs. The output will probably never repeat itself but there is a pattern. I have built the regular sloth it usually takes approx 15 seconds to make a rough figure 8, one cycle in the “butterly”. Now i’m testing the module in different ways. In this sound i have connected white noise to a filter. The filter frequency is controlled by sloth (x output). In this patch i have set the initial frequency low. That’s why there is a low humming wind noise between the “tops”. The output sound from filter goes to reverb. The sound is more a study of sloth behavior than an attempt to create a great wind sound.

En modulerande osc och en som moduleras, men man hör bägge i mixen! ena osc går via en lpg den andra via vca/mix. Till det "skrynkliga" ljudet använder jag en pip slope modulerad av jerkoff och sloth. Ljudkällan är en sinus som går via en lugnt modulerad wave shaper. En envelope follower plus sloth ger en trg till en s/h ibland och då byts tonen. Skrynkelljudet går även till mitt analoga delay. Tonen är även liiite modulerad av en env. Ganska west coast och buchla. . . Google translate :-)buchla style slow krell. The cry sound also goes to my analogue delay. The tone is also liiite modulated by an env. Pretty west coast and buchla. . .

No it didn't. Well cool patch anyway? it's what i like. Small variations on a simple theme. Sloth lfos and a jerk off (both from nlc) are the engine. Yes and a comparator. Using an or/gate-combiner to create a trigger-ish for quadra to react on. Analog delay and spring reverb. Why did i do this patch from the very beginning? when the voltage on x from sloth reaches a specific value a trigger is generated and i sample the value on y and uses to select pitch on an oscillator. The one playing the long tones. Chaos creates my variations. Sh1t, now when i've stopped recording cool thing are happening. Promise. . .

I'm trying hard to learn/understand nlc genie. Bought the module 3rd hand. . . At least. Trying to replicate the sounds from andrews demo videos are to learn. 2 tri lfos to in1/2 and in2/3. Out- to wave folder and out+ to cv in on vco. The bass drum like sound is another story. But modulated by a nlc sloth. . .

Open it in yoursound editor. Amplify. . . Space is everywhere. Now slow down the speedof your sample. . . Space is deeeep and have multiple dimensions :-).

Same program as in https://freesound. Org/s/457868/ butthe main clock (lfo_2) frequency is about 1hz. It's a minor scale?! as have split the octave in 5 equal parts. This strange scale sounds like a sort of minor scale.
